Brawley Union High School honors Summer Graduates

Nathan Zills receives his diploma

BRAWLEY – Brawley Union High School (BUHS) held their 2014 Commencement Exercises for summer Wednesday, July 2, at the BUHS library at 10:00 a.m.

The students that were not able to participate in the June 12 commencement exercises, for whatever reason, were honored at the July 2 graduation ceremony.

“For whatever reason, you were faced with an obstacle and did not graduate with the rest of your class on June 12. You overcame that obstacle,” said Jesse Sanchez, Assistant Principle. “A lot of people quit before they choose to move on. You overcame that obstacle and you graduate today. The school, your family, and friends are so proud of you. As you go through life, you’re going to face obstacles again, as we all do. You know how to overcome obstacles. You are stronger and you can walk tall. You are BUHS 2014 graduates.”

Eight students graduated and received their diplomas.

The 2014 BUHS Summer Graduates are Anthony Auza, Kimberly Garcia, Samuel Gibson, Miguel Prado, Rosa Reyes, Justin Solarez, Victor Vicuna, and Nathan Zills.
