Brawley Police to be at schools

BRAWLEY – Rosanna Moore, city manager of Brawley, issued a statement declaring the Brawley Police are aware of the chatter on  a social media site and are following through on ensuring the safety of our schools.

Moore issued the following statement.

The City of Brawley Police Department (BPD) is working in cooperation with Brawley Elementary School District and Brawley Union High School District to address a social media posting that referenced a potential threat to public safety.


The Brawley Police Department has determined that the threat is unsubstantiated.


Additional safety measures will be undertaken within the City of Brawley Friday, including the assignment of police officers to school sites and the districts’ deployment of additional security personnel.
