BRAWLEY – Still high from their win against Spring Valley, the Brawley Junior Little League All Star team triumphed against Rancho Jamul narrowly beating them 7-5.
This game of cat and mouse began with a strike out by Ethan Torres and two plays by second baseman, Casey Kline.

A line drive by Casey Kline brought in base runner, Brandon Gammill, and a stolen home base by Brandon Lopez, and Kline advancing home ran the score up 4-0 in the Second.

Great defensive plays by closing pitcher, Dylan Reina, closed the game out with Brawley on top. “I think I did good on the mound” Reina said in an interview, “but I also had good defense behind me. We came through in the Sixth to get the lead and that’s all I needed to finish the game. We’re ready and will be waiting for Tuesday because we worked hard to get there”.
Brawley is scheduled to play again on Tuesday at 6:30 in Santee against a team to be determined.
