BRAWLEY – The Board of Director of the Brawley Chamber of Commerce announces today that Katie Luna has been appointed as the interim executive director following the departure of Jason Zara. Luna is not a stranger to the Brawley Chamber of Commerce or working with businesses.
Her consulting firm has been working with the Chamber on a marketing plan. Prior to opening her own firm, Luna worked for the Imperial Valley Small Business Development Center.
“During this change in administration, the Brawley Chamber office remains open,” stated Kay Day Pricola, President. “We continue to strive to achieve the mission of promoting business growth as we transition to new leadership.”
The Chamber plans to conduct a recruiting and hiring process to select a permanent executive director.
In the next several weeks, the Brawley Chamber will host several events for our members and community. The January Chamber Mixer will be this Thursday, at the Chamber office, 204 S. Imperial Avenue from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The February’s Farmers’ Market is February 13, at the South Plaza from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the Brawley Mayor’s Breakfast, February 26, at Stockmen’s Club from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
