Brawley Boys Basketball falls to Calipat

silhouette basketballBRAWLEY – The Calipatria Hornets came to Brawley and took the words on their fan’s T-shirts to heart, “The Swarm was in the House.”

Both teams missed shots and rebounds. The score was close at the end of the first quarter- Calipat 11, Brawley 10.

Missed opportunities plagued both teams for the remainder of the first half. Calipat continued to lead 24-17.

Kyle Keldsen tried to keep the ‘Cats in the game with his 3 point shooting.

The game ended with a win for the Hornets.

Keldsen was the high point shooter for Brawley with 14 pts.  Kennan Ellison led the Hornets with 18 pts.

Brawley Girls beat the Lady Hornets 60-7.  Both Varsity Wildcat teams will be at Southwest Tuesday for a League game.  The girls will play first at 5:30.  Regular season play ends Thursday.
