California Health & Wellness is a health plan providing care for people enrolled in Medi-cal. They are in 19 counties in California, some of the most impoverished in the state.

The wall-mounted unit will provide cool water for the children at the club.

Dr. Kathleen Lang, Executive director of California Health & Wellness said, “We identified a need that came to our awareness during the summer months when it was so hot. We thought it was a vital need that we could fulfill. We were happy to respond to this simple request on their behalf.”

Misty Lee, Resource Development Coordinator of the Boys & Girls Club of Imperial Valley, was grateful for the donation.

“The water fountain is a great addition to our Brawley Club,” said Lee. “We have recently done some improvements and this is a needed and appreciated asset. The kids will be more inclined to get a drink at the water fountain when they need one, rather than waiting for someone to get them one. We want to thank Dr. Lang and California Health & Wellness for their generosity.”
