Allison Collins was born in Brawley, California and raised in El Centro. In 2012 she graduated UCLA with a Bachelors in American Literature & Culture. While at UCLA she worked as the Men’s Track and Field Team manager. Upon graduating she took a full time position with UCLA Athletics.
Growing up, cooking and baking were a hobby and passion for Allison. In 2012, Allison took a short stint working at a bakery and attending The New School of Cooking in Los Angeles, CA. She continues this passion by taking recreational cooking classes and cooking for family and friends.
Valley native and UCLA grad, Allison Collins, has taken pen in hand and now writes a weekly food column for The Desert Review. We are excited to add her to our other fine columnists. Her first foodie column will appear Wednesday – just in time for Holiday Cooking!
