Allison Collins- Debuts as newest food blogger on The Desert Review with her column, Born, Bred, and Valley Fed

BRAWLEY -The Desert Review has a new blogger!

We are proud to introduce Allison Collins, born in Brawley, raised in El Centro, and a UCLA grad.

Growing up, cooking and baking were a hobby and passion for Allison. In 2012, Allison took a short stint working at a bakery and attended The New School of Cooking in Los Angeles, CA.

Bio PicThis Bruin received her Bachelors in American Literature & Culture, and while at UCLA she worked as the Men’s Track and Field Team manager.

Upon graduation, she took a full time position with UCLA Athletics.

Allison continues her passion for all things culinary by taking recreational cooking classes and cooking for family and friends.

Now, she has turned her passion into a food column for The Desert Review. She starts by hitting a home run with a holiday staple, the season favorite, pecan pie.

Look for her columns to run on Wednesdays, under the apt name, “Born, Bred, and Valley Fed.”
