Film actress Angela Armenta is the September NoCCA and Desert Review Artist of the Month. Armenta, the starring actress of the new Sonic Film movie, Fence, is new to the industry, yet became the part to deliver a powerful performance in the intense drama of her character, Lupita, according to her nominator, Rojian Lira. The film has been entered into the Palm Springs Film Festival.
Lira, who produced and directed, Fence, said of Armenta, “With no prior acting experience, Angela delivered a powerful performance in this intense drama about a woman named Lupita, who is a victim of misfortune; pregnant and vulnerable, she must make a decision to fight for her unborn child.”
“Since I was a little girl, I was always inspired by action, horror, and comedy movies. When I was nine years old, I realized I had the talent for acting. Art is very important in my life, it is what I love to do and I try my best to follow my dreams,” said Armenta.
The budding actress has set her sights on Hollywood, where she can further polish her skills. In the meantime, Armenta continues to work for Sonic Films with two projects on the drawing boards.
