(BRAWLEY) Brawley held its 3rd annual Veterans Day event at North Plaza Park Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m.
Veterans past and present were honored at the Veterans Memorial Wall of Honor with over 300 people attending, including many veterans.
The moving ceremony included members of the Naval Air Facility El Centro, Mayor George Nava, members of the Brawley City Council, and local veterans.
Pat Pace, father of fallen son and native of Brawley, Captain Scott Pace, gave a heartfelt speech that touched and inspired everyone.
Captain Pace was killed in action June 6, 2012 in Afghanistan.
The ceremony ended with a candlelight vigil in Captain Pace’s honor.[nggallery id=4]
