This week, AT&T presented $10,000 to WomanHaven’s Center for Family Solutions, Imperial Valley’s only domestic violence resource center. State Senator Ben Hueso and State Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia attended the presentation.

AT&T is a supporter of Speaker Toni Atkin’s AB 1407, which allows victims of domestic violence to gain full control of the wireless telephone accounts they share with their abusers. Governor Brown signed the legislation into law on Oct. 1.

AT&T joined a coalition of supporters for this important legislation that included Escaping A Violent Environment, Legal Aid Society of San Diego, California Public Defenders Association and the Los Angeles County Professional Peace Officers Association.
