BUHS Lady Golfers take 1st, Imperial and Holtville add teams to competition

EL CENTRO – Imperial Valley League girls’ golf match #6 was held Wednesday at the ‘par 30’ Desert Trails in El Centro.

BUHS won the team title today with a score of 218 led by Junior Alexces Tomboc with a score of 39.

Southwest was second with a team score of 241 led by Senior Sarah Reynolds with a score of 43.

Palo Verde finished 3rd with a team score of 245 and was led by Sophomore Hannah Browder with a score of 39.

Central was forth with a team score of 254 and was led by Senior Suzi Chapin.

Imperial was led by Camille Preece with a 43 and Holtville was led by Yoshiko Kodama with a score of 54.

Imperial and Holtville did not field enough girls for team play.

Wildcat Alexces Tomboc continued her stellar play with a 39 and was co-medalist with YellowJacket Hannah Browder.

Tomboc, Browder and Wildcats Cydnie Ramirez and Meghan Hannon are locked up in a tight fight for the individual title with only 1 match remaining at Barbara Worth Resort on Octoober 21.

Imperial Tigers and Holtville Vikings have joined into play mid season and certainly look to add to the excitement in IVL action next season.
