Deadline for Cattle Call Queen Applications fast approaching

BRAWLEY – Cattle Call is almost here. The Brawley Chamber is calling on all young women interested in running for the three Cattle Call Queen positions to get their applications filled out.

Festivities are exactly three months away, with the Cattle Call Queen to be named in October and the Chili Cook-Off set to begin Cattle Call week on November 1.

Applications are now available for the Cattle Call Queen, Teen Queen and Little Miss. Applications are due to the Chamber next Friday, August 22. Anyone interested in more information on competing to be rodeo royalty can call the Chamber or find the forms at The horsemanship competition will be October 17, with the Coronation dinner on October 18.

“We are very excited about this year’s Cattle Call,” said Brawley Chamber Executive Director Jason Zara. “We are really making an extra effort this year to promote Brawley business and the community while people are here for the biggest event of the year. Cattle Call is always an amazing experience, but we really believe this year will be something special.”

Zara added, “We are hoping for lots of applications for all positions to come in next Friday. We are anticipating having a Cattle Call Queen, a Teen Queen, and a Little Miss.”
