35 Year Old El Centro Resident Arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine for Sale


el-centro-police-department logoEL CENTRO – On May 1, 2015, Officers Jeffrey Brown and Francisco Munoz were patrolling the area of 5th Street and State Street on foot due to vandalism and other calls in the area. As they walked through the area they located several individuals, including a female in the south alley of 500 West Olive. Officers stopped the female and she identified herself as Marlina Castillo, a 35 year old El Centro resident.

While speaking with Castillo officers learned she was on probation for a drug related offense. Castillo gave the officers permission to search her person. During the search of Castillo officers located seven individually packaged bags of methamphetamine with a combined total gross weight of approximately six grams. Officers also located a sheet that detailed drug transactions. Castillo was booked at the Imperial County Jail (Bkg# 957573) and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine for sale.
