Wind Watch in effect for Desert Areas


southern california weather authorityLOS ANGELES – The Southern California Weather Authority has issued a Wind Watch effect for all deserts.

A trough will dig down into the region on Monday night into Tuesday, setting the stage for stronger westerly winds across the desert areas.

Wind gusts from 30-45 mph will be common … with stronger gusts along the Eastern Slopes of the San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego County Mountains.

A Wind Watch means that the potential for strong wind gusts totaling to a wind advisory or high wind warning issuance in the near future is possible.
